Plesiosaur Bone

£99.99

This fossilised Plesiosaur bone has been mounted on a bespoke wooden base stand. Dating to the Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous period, around 150 to 100 million years ago, it belonged to one of the most iconic marine reptiles of the Mesozoic seas.

Accompanying the specimen is an illustration of a plesiosaur in its natural environment, offering context for the creature’s distinctive anatomy and aquatic lifestyle. The artwork links the bone to the graceful, long-necked predator that once patrolled ancient oceans.

Recovered from marine sedimentary deposits in North Africa, the bone has been carefully prepared and stabilised, preserving a rare physical trace of prehistoric marine life.
